Interim Pastor Terry Euper

Our Greetings to the good people of Bancroft and Morrice United Methodist Churches. Jackie and I could not be more pleased to have the opportunity to serve as your Interim Pastor for the next three months.

I know that times of transition are never easy. . . losing a beloved pastor. . . facing uncertainties about the future leadership of the church and what is going to be happening in the weeks ahead. I look forward to working with you and hopefully easing all of us through these days of transtition. Many of you are aware that I began my ministry in this community (Morrice, Bennington and Pittsburg UMC's) from 1972-1976. We moved back to the area in 2003 when I was appointed to be the Clergy Assistant to the Bishop. We retired in this community in 2010. We actually live on State Road about half way between Bancroft and Morrice. So this is our home.

During the short time that I will seve as your pastor I will look forward to getting to know all of you and having opportuinites to serve you. I am particularly excited that in a very few short weeks we will be celebrating Holy Week and the resurrection of Christ together. I will be praying for you folks and for your District Superintendent and the Bishop as they go through the process of appointing a new pastor to this charge. I covet your prayers for me as I serve as your pastor. Though I will be seving as a 1/2 time pastor, I am in the community. . . I will be attending church meetings and activities. . . I will be available for pastoral calls. . . please feel free to call on me if needed.

I know from my years of experience serving in the Detorit Conference, and from Jackie's years serving as the Flint District Project Director, that Bancroft and Morrice have rich and faithful histories as congregations. We look forward to being a part of that hisotry in the months ahead. Psalm 46 promisies that God is our refuge and strength. . . a very present help in the time of need. As we share this ministry together in the days ahead let us look to God for help and strength.

God's Blessings,

Terry and Jackie Euper
